In the April 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, there’s a bit called “Jen’s Not That into Them” where Lillian Glass, PhD, a body language expert uses photographs to show how Jennifer Aniston is supposedly not into the men in her life. The suggestion is made that she perhaps never was into them, but that she has “hit her stride solo.” The photographs expose body language that is meant to reveal a woman who is more comfortable alone than coupled with any man.
Some of the photographs show her wearing a tense smile as she stands by her man. In one, she holds former husband Brad Pitt’s hand in her right while her left hand makes a fist. In photos with Brad and John Mayer, she leans into the men with her shoulder while her hips lean in the opposite direction away from the men. In a photo with Vince Vaughan, she sits erect while he leans into her space. But in a photograph of her walking solo down a side-walk, her stride is confident, her smile is stress-free and broad, one hand holds onto the strap of her purse while the other hand is relaxed and open.
