The Art of Compromise and the Cards of Your Destiny

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

Even as a Jyotish Astrologer many years ago, long before discovering the Cards of Your Destiny, people sought me out as a relationship consultant. As a Cancer male who finds fulfillment in helping others and with the King of Hearts birth card and Two of Hearts planetary ruler, I’ve been a magnet for people looking for relationship advice my entire adult life, it seems, even at times when perhaps my own romantic life was at a standstill.

The challenge of using Jyotish Astrology for giving relationship compatibility readings is that the information gleaned from the astrology tends to be on the negative side. So when my sister gave me The Cards of Your Destiny by Robert Lee Camp when it was first published, it was as if God smiled on me because now I had a tool which, combined with the Jyotish Astrology, would help me deliver quality relationship compatibility consultations to clients!

There was still a challenge, though. Frequently, clients would approach me about their compatibility either with someone they were ready to break up with or with someone who wasn’t available (usually because that someone was married or in a relationship with someone else). When clients are ready to break up with their significant other, they want the compatibility reading to prove them right in their purpose. For those seeking the affection of unavailable people, they want the compatibility to prove they have the right to pursue someone else’s mate or lover. (more…)

Challenging Cosmo’s Body Language Analysis of Jennifer Aniston!

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

In the April 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, there’s a bit called “Jen’s Not That into Them” where Lillian Glass, PhD, a body language expert uses photographs to show how Jennifer Aniston is supposedly not into the men in her life. The suggestion is made that she perhaps never was into them, but that she has “hit her stride solo.” The photographs expose body language that is meant to reveal a woman who is more comfortable alone than coupled with any man.

Some of the photographs show her wearing a tense smile as she stands by her man. In one, she holds former husband Brad Pitt’s hand in her right while her left hand makes a fist. In photos with Brad and John Mayer, she leans into the men with her shoulder while her hips lean in the opposite direction away from the men. In a photo with Vince Vaughan, she sits erect while he leans into her space. But in a photograph of her walking solo down a side-walk, her stride is confident, her smile is stress-free and broad, one hand holds onto the strap of her purse while the other hand is relaxed and open. The Power of the Destiny Cards for Parents!

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

My son Rama arrives home this evening from South Africa after a serious bout with malaria. He had entered the hospital in Cape Town on the Sunday prior to his scheduled departure after a 2 month adventure wandering around South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique and probably other places I’m not aware of and having experiences I may not even want to know about.

This was by no means his first intense foreign country experience and will certainly not be his last. How do I as a fairly normal parent feel about that? (Normal perhaps only in the sense of wanting my children to be safe and secure and without suffering…)

There is a line in the Bhagavad Gita where Lord Krishna is exhorting a reluctant Arjuna as a renown warrior to fight in the battle of good versus evil. He says, “Better to die in one’s own dharma than to live in another’s.” (Dharma is commonly defined as the path that upholds evolution or the individual’s highest soul purpose.)

Because of my knowledge of the Destiny Card system, I am aware of my children’s basic natures and I realize how important it is that they live those natures fully and in their highest expression in order to be fulfilled and to progress in this lifetime. What’s important is their soul’s desires for them rather than mine. And the Destiny Cards give me insight to their strengths, weaknesses and soul’s desires and as to how best support these.

Whatever my son’s experiences and this was a tough one, I can rest in the knowledge that he is living in his dharma.
